FAQs

  • What is the first step in booking a wedding with you?

Your wedding is one of the most important days in your life and I want to make sure I am the right photographer for you. I love to meet you both over coffee and talk about your ideas and your style.

  • Why do you have complimentary engagement sessions?

I believe the best way to get to know you is during a session. In my opinion, its the best way to figure out how we can work together to achieve the shots you want on your wedding day. Every couple is unique in how much posing they like to have and what style of editing they prefer.

  • What about guests with cameras?

I don't know how many weddings I have shot or attended where there are guests with SLR camera, an array of lenses and even flashes. While I completely understand them wanting to document the day, you are also hiring me to document YOUR day. I like to encourage couples to ask guests to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and formal session.

  • When do you offer mini session?

I offer mini sessions during peak seasons like fall (for family photos) or spring (for prom photos). These sessions are 30 minutes and take place at one location. I have several clients booked in a row to bring you the best pricing while getting all the important shots. If you know of at least two other people who are wanting the same location as you, let me know and we can set a mini session up!

  • How can I book a newborn session when I’m not sure if my baby will arrive on the due date?

Its true. Regardless of your due date, babies arrive whenever they are ready. The easiest time to photograph a newborn is 5-10 days after they are born. They are the most easy to pose during this time and it is more easy to get those peaceful, sleeping baby shots. What I usually do is tentatively schedule you for a week after your due date. Then when the baby arrives you contact me and we finalize your session.

  • What should I do to prepare for a photo shoot?

That is a great question that everyone asks. Once you book your session, I will email you a PDF of tips specific to the type of session.

  • Are your prices negotiable?
I would love to create a custom package for you that can suit your needs. In order to treat all my clients equally, however, I do not negotiate on my pricing.
